,

When I was 18 (1968) I had a routine test for TB where they prick your arm. The

area raised up and was red--sort of like a mosquito bite. The Dr. said I had a

positive reaction so I was sent to the Health Dept. to get an X-ray. It was

negative. The Dr. said at some time I was exposed to TB possibly when I was 5

years old and was hospitalized--my roommate was an elderly woman. Don't know

how I was exposed no one in my family had a reaction to the test like I did.

Moved to NC, years went by and I had a physical and they gave me a TB test. It

did the same thing. I told them what had happened in 1968. They put it on my

medical record to never give me a TB test, that it could cause active TB. I

have never taken any medication for it.

I am still going to the same Medical Center for the last 30 years so they know

my history.
