Hey Katja,

I also had lip incompetence in the beginning - swelling being the

reason. It did go away, so I hope yours is also caused by swelling.

I saw the ortho yesterday - not my treating ortho, but his partner. 3

of my brackets unglued, and top archwire broke, and I wanted to get it

taken care of. I got complements on how much better I look from the

techs in the office. However, the doc was skeptical that the

crossbite can be fixed. He's not my treating doc though, and is not

familiar at all with my case. I got concerned and ran across the

street to the surgeon's office. He examined me and said that it

should get better with ortho treatment. He's meeting with my ortho on

Monday to discuss my case. Whatever they come up with, it better

include taking care of this problem. :) But he made me feel better.

I hope to get all the answers next week when I see the ortho. I'm

staying optimistic.

Irene.
