Guest guest
Hey Irene, I saw your photos... you need more post-surgery pics up! BUT the few you had up there look great! Are you pleased? I think I read somewhere that you mentioned to someone about some assymetry still? How is everything turning out with having your crooked smile corrected? I went in with a crooked smile too.... since I still have swelling around my mouth and the splint in, it's hard to tell what the end result will be yet.... Did you have lower only, or upper and lower? Thanks for pointing the pics out to me! I need to get some posted soon myself. Guest guest
Hi Katja, I'm still figuring out if I'm pleased with the results or not . I think in general, I am. But since I'm still in discomfort because of the surgery, it's hard to be pleased . But chin assymetry is gone, the underbite is gone, my chin looks smaller, and I'm much more comfortable chewing on both sides of my mouth (before I chewed pretty much exclusively on the left side). But I have a crossbite now, which should be fixed by ortho, and the way they rotated my jaw caused a small overbite on one side of my mouth, causing the lower lip to appear assymetric. I hope this will go away as well. Also, my TMJ doesn't click anymore - that's kinda nice. I will probably like the results more and more as the residual swelling goes away. What about your results - are you happy? The first couple of weeks it's hard to tell how you will look like because of the splint and swelling, but you usually start feeling better about the results as the time goes by.
