Guest guest
Doug: There was a return of symptoms for a few of us. They were mild in comparison to the initial die-off. I just figured some of the other pathogens had been killed and now the Samento was working on the lyme. The lyme is the hard one to deal with from die-off since lyme coats itself in heavy metals, yeast, etc. Are you doing anything for die-off? Heidi N i have had the exact opposite with Samento. When I started life was beautiful almost immediatly again. For about 2 months. Then all horror again, started herxing everyday for 2 months, didnt matter what i did. Cut all the way back to 2 drops a day from 7-8 drops a day. Finally stopped 2 weeks ago,my neck was hurting so bad I had to stop. Now I am running again 5 days a week and seem to feel alot better. I am thinking about gradually starting a drop or 2 a day and see what happens. I have also started taking Sam-E again it has been a wonder drug for me in the past for my aches and pains and also helps my mood alot. The problem is I live in Peru now and it cost me an arm and a leg to get anything shipped here Doug kson **************Get the scoop on last night's hottest shows and the live music scene in your area - Check out TourTracker.com! Guest guest
Hi Doug, I just have a suggestion. I know that a lot of good medicinal herbs are to be found in South America including Peru (the home of Maca). Any chance you could locate a local herbalist (one who has a good reputation as a healer) and/or herbs you need right there, maybe even fresh or dried herbs? I expect there are a lot of good herbs to be found in the local open air produce markets at a much reduced cost to you. Just a thought. There are books which can guide you to making your own herbals and take the mystery out of it all. Guest guest
Oops, I just saw Heidi answered you already and said almost the same thing I posted. NutraMedix's is the main producer, but I will also note that Klinghardt had (and may still have) his " BioPure energy modulated PC-Samento " . I find that one bottle lasts about a month. I usally ramp up to 15- 20 drops (2 times a day) for the first 12.5 days and then take 1.5 days off. Then 12.5 days at 15-20 drops (2 times a day). I get in 2 cycles per bottle. Sometimes I have a bit left over if I ramp up slowly. The bottle says it has 60 servings at the serving size of 10 drops. Take care, Rich (skiweasel7) > > Thanks Heidi - Appreciate it. Guest guest
Doug, I guess you have heard of this disease, living in South America? The progression of it sounds very similar to Lyme, and the Red Cross is supposedly aware of it for blood donations. I have wondered if the Red Cross is equally award of Lyme? Does anyone know? *Chagas' disease* (also called /*American trypanosomiasis*/) is a human tropical <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tropical_disease> parasitic disease <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parasitic_disease> which occurs in the Americas <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Americas>, particularly in South America <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_America>. Its pathogenic <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pathogen> agent <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vector_%28biology%29> is a flagellate <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flagellate> protozoan <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protozoa> named /Trypanosoma cruzi <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trypanosoma_cruzi>/, which is transmitted to humans and other mammals <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mammal> mostly by blood-sucking <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hematophagy> assassin bugs <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assassin_bug> of the subfamily Triatominae <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triatominae> (Family Reduviidae <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reduviidae>). Those insects are known by numerous common names varying by country, including benchuca, vinchuca, kissing bug, chipo, pito, chupança, chinchorro, and barbeiro. The most common insect species belong to the genera /Triatoma <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triatoma>/, /Rhodnius <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhodnius>/, and /Panstrongylus <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panstrongylus>/. However, other methods of transmission are possible, such as ingestion of food contaminated with parasites <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parasite>, blood transfusion <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_transfusion> and fetal <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fetus> transmission. The symptoms of Chagas' disease vary over the course of the infection. In the early, acute stage symptoms are mild and are usually no more than local swelling at the site of infection. As the disease progresses, over as much as twenty years, the serious chronic symptoms appear, such as heart disease and malformation of the intestines. If untreated, the chronic disease is often fatal. Current drug treatments for this disease are generally unsatisfactory, with the available drugs being highly toxic and often ineffective, particularly in the chronic stage of the disease. Guest guest
Thanks, ,Samento comes from the jungle here in Peru, but no one sells it here.(go figure) I need to order it from the states if I want to get it. Also the language barrier is very difficult here especially for this situation. No one seems to know about lyme and most herbs have a different name in spanish. I was going to try the salt/c protocal here, but no one has the sodium chloride or sea salt here either. Guest guest
Doug: The amount of herbs coming out of Peru for lyme is so great, that I don't know what we do without that country. They are definitely contributing to the world's health. I take Burbur, but there are also many things that Buhner talks about. Maybe someone can tell us about their experience with them. With Burbur, you take it 20 minutes away from everything else and can take 10 drops every 10 minutes until feel better. I love it. Guest guest
Doug, try asking for Una de Gato, which is Spanish for Cat's Claw. That is the herb used in Samento. You might find it in a curandera's shop...that is a word for a healer in Mexico, and hopefully the Peruvians use the same word, or one that is close to it...?? Hopefully the people in Peru are not as stringently watched by the government when it comes to herbal medicines and alternative health practices. Good luck! Guest guest
White footed mice spread the disease. There may be many other vectors as well, such as birds, other rodents and squirrels, mosquitos. No one knows. I put damminix tubes with permethrin treated cotton in my yard for the mice to make their nests with. The permethrin kills or repels the ticks. I also fed (hopefully)the deer in my back yard corn treated with ivermectin. This kills the tick when it bites the animal. I'm thinking of talking to my LLMD about taking some myself. I'm fighting back! Tired of this disease and scared I'll have it forever. (I'm in stage 2, so don't feel too sorry for me. I'll probably get well) > > From: sfrobink@... <sfrobink@...> > Subject: Re: [ ] Re: Need some help > > Date: Thursday, July 17, 2008, 4:20 PM > > Hi Doug - I just read you're in Peru. Guest guest
Hi again Doug, Una De Gato is cat's claw in Spanish. You can get on http://www.rain-tree.com/plants.htm and find a lot of information about South American herbs online. The owner of this website has also written a book about these herbs, but you can learn most of this information online without buying the book (though it is a handy reference to have as as far as portability). Some herbs only have local names, but there are some with English names. All of her references have the common names of the herbs, including quite often the Brazilian Portuguese names. A really great reference source as it also has drawings of the herbs themselves and also details how the herbs are most commonly used. best, > > Thanks, > ,Samento comes from the jungle here in Peru, but no one sells it here.(go figure) > I need to order it from the states if I want to get it. > Also the language barrier is very difficult here especially for this situation. > No one seems to know about lyme and most herbs have a different name in spanish. > I was going to try the salt/c protocal here, but no one has the sodium chloride or sea salt here either. > I am going to Rio next week in Brazil to look around, maybe they will have some herbs or at least the salt I am looking for. > Thanks, > Doug > > >

Guest guest
Doug, I am finding several places which have herbal markets in Peru. One of the most interesting is found in the Barrio Chino (largest China town in South America) in Lima. I would imagine that along with South American herbs there would be found Chinese herbs along with TCM healers and perhaps local healers as well (not to mention all that wonderful Chinese food). Lambayeque also is known to have an herbal market. It would be quite exciting to find some of the Buhner herbs grown right where you are. Iquitos has Amazon herbs, but you can only get in by plane or boat, so I could see that would be an expensive trip. best,

In the article though, it says the DOCBand is a Class II device, so not sure about the Class III reference.
