Guest guest
Pain, pain go away - come again some other day. I can't figure out whether it is from my Vitamin D deficiency or not. My wbc is pretty low - can the pain be from this? I know the wbc are made in the marrow and since I am on a weekly vitamin d regimen I was wondering if that can be the cause. Any suggestions? Thanks. Guest guest
Terri, I've sent several articles from Arthritis Today-- www.arthritistoday.org on low wbc, along with Vit D and Calcium info. I've also sent one on MSM. This is an excellant site-- for both Vitamin and Mineral Guides, but also for the Annual Drug Guide-- explaining the different types of meds that can be used for autoimmune diseases. I do hope that with your wbc being so low-- that they took you off the Imuran, to give your body a break and rebuild some immune system function. It really sounds as though Imuran is not the drug for you-- to wipe out the wbc to almost zero is serious, serious stuff-- and should not be allowed. You may want to take a calcium/magnesium supplement and see if that helps get those levels back up. From what I'm seeing, if you are low in Vit D-- then your immune system is also going to be out of whack-- as this is integral to the balance of the blood cells. There is a link here-- between the Vit D defiency and the low wbc-- and your doc needs to be looking into it. Also, if your Vit C levels, as well as your Vit B-- (they do have you on Folic Acid????) so that you don't develop pernicious anemia-- and these too need to be brought into balance-- so what is your diet like? Hope this info helps, Tracie NS Co-owner/moderator Subject: painTo: Neurosarcoidosis Date: Thursday, April 2, 2009, 8:52 AM Pain, pain go away - come again some other day.
