Guest guest
What kind of iron are you taking? What kind of calcium? Protein shakes only SEEM expensive, when you think of them as an adder. When you think of them as a choice, they become very cheap indeed. Sounds like you are not in good enough shape to launch into plastics just yet. You might do fine, or you might spend the next year recovering. And not working, but sucking down home health care cost is a LOT more expensive than shakes. Before you ask your body to recover from a major wound, you really have to build some fuel in it to use for said healing. Otherwise, how can it heal for you, when it's fighting for minimal survival? Guest guest
I find I use a protein mix shake that I get at BJ's Wholesale club, I think its $13 for a huge container that lasts about a month of a once a day shake. To this I add 2 scoops of nonfat dry milk to boost the protein. Mixed with a banana and a cup of skim milk served over ice, it gives me 30 gms of protein for my morning start. I dont take an iron pill at all but have not had any issues with my iron in my blood work. I do use twinlabs chewable calcium citrate, they taste like big sweet tarts. I also use an over the counter prenatal vitamin every day. Its key that you take the nutrients that you need to stay healthy. Remember the protein shake is a replacement for a meal. Just think of how much money you used to spend at a trip to Mcs and put the protein shake cost into perspective Chris > What kind of iron are you taking?
