Jane and Katja,

I know most of this is painful and totally stressing but it seems to

me you finally reached a point when you can see the " funny " side of

this all. I don't know how funny I will find it next year this time

(hopefully earlier but definitely not later) but it is sooo good to

read your messages about eating.

Oh, I sooo fear this. I can't stand any food in my mouth after

eating, so I don't how I am gonna bear it for days. Hours after

eating if I nac't brush I feel my teeth begin to rot. It is totally

mind over matter but still. I will remember you next year!!!

These messages are great! Thanks for the giggle. It is nice that we

can laugh about our surgery. All of us who have gone through this

can relate! Me and my son are cracking up!

Karola,

It is so good to get to the point where I couls laugh because the day

I got my wires cut I was NOT laughing. When I discovered I couldn't

open wide enough to brush, then saw my jaw shifting back causing a

strange profile at first, I cried and cried. My husband just held

me because he too was worried not knowing what to do. The next day

I was more grouchy however, the more food I got in me the better I

became. Now, I just want to laugh at how aweful it has all been.

Everyone at school said my whole demeaner has changed (for the

positive) without even trying. So, keep in mind when times get

rough that it will pass and may actually be humorous!
