Guest guest
Well, I made it through the shopping trip with my home health aide. I didn't have to argue much. In fact, I didn't really have to argue at all. I had to laugh at one point. She handed me a container of something and the first thing I looked at was the sugar content. Her comment was " So, are we looking at sugar content now? " Well, duh. I dawned on me that she had been looking at the fat content on things. Now, mind you, I don't necessarily want stuff high in fat either but I would be more then willing to accept slightly higher fat content for a lower sugar content. I had put some Wyler's light in my basket. She told me that kool-aid with sugar was cheaper. I explained that the Wyler's was 9 or 10 cents more a picture and I had decided that I was worth the extra money if it meant fewer pounds. Hmmm, I didn't get an argument there. After all, if I am spending good money on good quality meat, why not spend good money on good quality drinks. Thank you all for bearing with me on this.
