Guest guest Posted July 16, 2003 Report Share Posted July 16, 2003 I agree with Lorraine, 2 tsps is probably way too little. The CONSERVATIVE recommendation is 1 TBS per day (which is 3 tsps). I have taken 4 TBS daily (4 doses, one TBS in each of my 4 daily protein shakes) from the beginning. Like Lorraine, I found that this worked from the very first day. However, it is important to get enuf water in as well. For me that's about 100 oz a day. Not enuf liquid will contribute greatly to constipation. I have always needed help and was taking prunes before. Flaxseed adds extra " good " things to us with the Omega 3's (I think) along with regularity. I would up your dose considerably--esp. if you always have problems. Again, lots of water is also key. My MINIMUM / day is over 64 oz. I usually come in around 100 oz. I always squeeze a lemon wedge to my 32 oz bottle. Luckily, I can buy lemons at Costco to help w/the cost. I love my water that way.
