Guest guest
Yes, it is common for most, if not all, of us to feel no better, and sometimes worse, during the intro. diet. I eventually realized that my digestion couldn't tolerate most of the suggested intro. diet foods, so I substitute others and found that helped. I always fall back to my version of the intro. diet when I have a flare, so I had lots of practice with finding foods that worked better [grin]. The intro. diet is only meant to be followed for 3 to 5 days, so I think you can begin to try one or two other foods. What is your diagnosis or major issue? That will help us advise you on what foods are better tolerated at first. Just add one at a time, and stop eating any of the intro. foods that you think might be a problem for you. Diarrhea takes a long time to disappear. You'll have to figure out which foods are better tolerated by your digestion in its current state; not all of them will be. Healing takes time, and we all have to experiment a bit to figure out what foods are easiest on our digestions in the first year. But once you figure that out, you'll feel the small improvements that help keep us motivated. Eventually you are so-o-o much better! Kim M. Guest guest
It sounds normal. Your system is cleaning itself out. Hope you feel better. Are you still on the intro diet? >I just started the diet a few days ago and i have followed it perfectly and i feel worse! My diareah is all water and i am going constantly....is this normal? Guest guest
No, that's wrong. You can add foods after a few days on intro, which is only supposed to last for a few days. Just start amazingly slowly, one food every few days. If your bathroom habits change, that shows the diet is starting to work for you. Mara > Thank you. Yes, im still doing the intro. diet.
