Guest guest
, You are looking for Dr. Luketich, and he is in Pittsburgh. He is one that I contacted also when researching options for myself and considering the esophagectomy. I have attached a link for his physician profile page which has his contact information. When I emailed him (luketichjd@...), his office (never heard from him directly) called me and instructed me to get all my records sent down and we'd go from there after he reviewed them, but I never did because that was at the same time I heard directly from Dr. Rice and decided to go that route. http://www.surgery.upmc.edu/contact/display.asp?PhysID=54 Good luck! in NY > > > achalasia > > > > > > > didn't you see a surgeon in the DC/Baltimore area when you were > > > > first > > > > looking into an -ectomy? > > > > I ask because I've got family not far from either DC or > Baltimore> > > so > > > > I'm trying to see about surgeons in those areas to make it > easier> > > on my > > > > family when I go for mine. > > > > > > > > Thanks > > > > > > > > Happy Swallowing! > > > > - in NC > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
, if you remember Kathy Gaiser, from a few years ago, she went to Dr. Luketich, and adores him. She has lots of other complications, one which she mentioned at the time she was really active in the group is possibly MG... Mavis Gravis... something.... (Notan is rolling on the floor laughing at that spelling, I bet), but that may trigger your memory. She is doing well, I keep in occasional phone contact with her, she is busy working and volunteers all the time. She is registered here somewhere and if not, I have her contact info, if you email me. As many of us have learned, sometimes the office staff is less that understanding. I'd keep trying to get to the good doctors. They love us and our achalasia, not sure the office staff knows that.
