Wow, I guess I'm the eception rather than the rule. I was off pain

meds by day four. Occasionally I'd use Chlidren's tylenol to helo

me sleep (or nyquil) but I wasn't in much pain. I had upper/lower.

Actually, it's more usual to lose the codeine earlier than later. Many

folks find that Motrin or some such (tylenol) serves them better, with

fewer side effects.
