Guest guest
, I hope your treatment went well. I am once again taking on the insurance company for my Remicade, they only approved it for one year, and that is up, so here we go again. I just hope they don't drag this out, so I miss an infusion, or that will really make me upset. So here's to another fight! Marla Tomorrow, well actually today, is my treatment. I am curious how long it takes Medicare to turn you down and if they've heard anything yet. I got the call back from my neuro's nurse and he recommended another doc in the practice to take over my case. I am happy with his choice. My new doc, Dr. Melanson, is a woman, I love that, and she is the clinical director of the MS clinic that all of the neurologists are associated with as my former neuro was too. I still see Dr. Baughman and Dr. Lower for my sarc treatments. They've been making those decisions since I was diagnosed. I'll be back tonight typing with one hand and cramming my face with the other! Guest guest
Good grief, Marla. What's with these people? Did they think you would be perfectly healthy in a year, or just hoping maybe you would have croaked? I would imagine that folks with other autoimmune diseases being treated with Remicade are on long-term treatment, so you'd think these insurance bozos would realize the same would be true for you. I'd pull out the stops for a big ol' rant right now, but just don't have the energy tonight. So I'll just give it a good Arrrggghhh & Uuufffttt (sp?) in honor of Kuwaiti Kim. Guest guest
Marla I have to reapply for my Medicaid spend down and find the paperwork the drug company wants about my finances. Dr B has done his part now I have to do mine & get this paperwork back to them. They're lowering my Cytoxin along with lowering the pred. Then I get a card telling me I had a bladder infection at my last visit & they called in a prescription for Cipro for me. It's never ending is it? Oh well, I'll just put on my mental armour and go out and fight for my Remicade. This month I believe has been 4 years on Cytoxin and I won't miss it!
