How long until I can open?

Hi all, I am 5 weeks post-op and got my splint and rubber bands removed today.

It's

very exciting to be able to speak a little clearer. I was super disappointed

when I

discovered I can't really eat that well. I thought eggs and oatmeal would be no

big

deal, but they were--super messy and not very satisfying. So, how long after

being

unbanded did it take you to be able to eat normally? How long until you could

get a

toothbrush in there? The surgeon said it should take 2 weeks for me to work my

way up to normal food, but am I really going to be able to eat a cheeseburger in

2

weeks?
