Well Katja, I bet I'm not the only one now that is really curious to

see your pictures, both out of curiousity whether our imaginations

were correct and how great you look post-op!

I still have not had surgery, I am in the countdown process my

surgery date being June 6th and i must confess I can't wait to get

this over with. I've recently started to become paranoid because I

feel that my teeth are moving in all sorts of strange directions

(I've already got my surgical wires on and am finished with pre-op

orthodontics). Thanks to 10 years of braces when I was younger my

teeth were straight at the beginning of this process and while I had

been warned that they do get worse pre-op I just hate feeling my two

upper teeth feeling so unaligned. I guess I'll just have to suck it

all up and be patient.

I can't remember what surgery you had. Was it upper, lower or both

and did you have genio? Also, I was wondering, was your boyfriend

with you at all times? I ask because my boyfriend insists on flying

over to be with me at the time of my surgery (he lives in Italy where

I am from and the surgery will be in NY) and my mother seems to think

that he should wait until at least a few days after surgery. I think

her words were along the line, " You don't want him seeing you in such

a state, he'll only worry. " Now my question is, since my boyfriend is

against me having this surgery in the first place (bless him, he

doesn't see what the problem is, he thinks I'm just fine) and is

really worried about me, will seeing me two days after surgery really

terrify him? I know recovery differs from person to person but I was

just wondering what was the reaction your boyfriend had.
