Guest guest
This may not work for everyone but my blood pressure tends to be on the low side, so I worry more about passing out from low blood pressure than about retaining water from too much salt. I dehydrate very easily, so I have to be careful. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Barbara Jean: I have the same problem with the low bp and passing out and I too dehydrate at the drop of a dime. My cardiologist recently put me on Thermotabs, salt pills, to help keep my bp up and to help keep fluids in my body. I was concerned about bloating and weight gain (most people would be concerned about the passing out, go figure), so I take the pills 2-3 times per day three days a week. Have had only one episode of passing out since I was put on these pills, but I was post-op, not feeling well and had not been taking the Thermotabs since my surgery. We've pretty much narrowed down what is causing most, if not all the post op difficulties I've been having. Will have clearer picture next week after I see my ob/gyn again and my gastro doc, who are going to be speaking to one another this week. Hope this helps.
