Guest guest
Been there done that , there aren't many I haven't tried and while they would work for me for a time it was never consistent enough to sustain the loss. But if you haven't tried it it's certainly worth the effort, if anything it teaches you portion control and choices and I've had a lot of friends do the new WW point system with success. Best of luck e. Lap RNY April 9, 2004 348/286/140 (begin/current/goal) www.carrieburns.net > Have any of you ever tried it? Did it work for you? Guest guest
Hi , I always look forward to your posts, you are always so supportive and positive. I also enjoyed checking out your website. I saw the bit you said about being at a standstill. I was also and tried a little lemon juice and splenda in water and it seems to jump start me again. I just do it for a day or two and it starts things moving. Just a thought.... I also noticed that you and I are right about the same weight at the moment. I hope we both lose the rest as rapidly as is healthy!! Everyone keeps telling me I didn't gain it overnight, but I am sure I did!! lol Best of luck, 2-10-04 404pre-op/367surg/285/160? -- Re: Weight Watchers Been there done that , there aren't many I haven't tried and while they would work for me for a time it was never consistent enough to sustain the loss. Guest guest
Thanks , looks like I've started dropping again today so we're both at 285 . I'll try the lemon juice and Splenda, sounds like it would kick start the bowels a bit. My husband tells me the bit about not gaining it overnight all the time, he's really so supportive and wouldn't be as positive as I am today if not for him. He's lost 20 pounds since I've surgery . I enjoy your posts as well, keep up the great work! Guest guest
Been there done that a number of times. It does not work for me personally. It works for a little while and then I return to my previous eating habits because I am hungry or out of habit. It is a good concept, but most people when they get to the point that they are morbidly obese the diets don't work anymore. If it were that easy we would all be skinny. But this is a decision that you and you alone can make, not us and not your family. You have to be comfortable with what you decide. Dora Awaiting approval in TN Weight Watchers Have any of you ever tried it? Did it work for you? My parents are pushing me towards trying WW first before radical surgery just wanted your thoughts on the matter. Thanks. e
Guest guest
I've read MANY cases of silly people who STILL over eat after this surgery and then they've either wasted all the time money and pain or simply decided to cause themselves far MORE serious medical problems in the future. I just don't get it. Maybe those people should have had a far MORE extensive psych eval before being approved for something like this...just my opinon > Been there done that a number of times.
