I live in Milwaukee, WI. I don't know if you want to travel that far -

but I went to Hanger inside Children's Hospital Milwaukee and saw

- He was WONDERFUL! I highly recommend him if you have trouble

finding someone in your area. Also, there is a Cranial Technologies

in Mequon, although I don't have any experience with them but I hear,

overall, CT is a great place. Let me know if there is any way I can

help you!!

Thanks for your advice, Meg! We are already over half way done with

our experience, but have really not been happy the whole time. Just

wanting to compare stories on this area. If only I would have known

about this site before all this began. I feel so much more informed

now than before!

Hi Ella,

I'm not from WI (I'm in India now), but if you're not happy and given

your daughter's age, have you considered getting a new band from

cranial tech (docband)? They have two locations in WI. they tend to

have more experience with older babies and I've heard more success

stories. My daughter did very well in a starband, but she was very

young (5 mo at start). I think if she was older I would have

preferred to go with CT - although I was pretty ignorant when we

started the whole process.

Howdy from Texas Ella,

Today as a matter of fact I took my daughter to Cranial Tech. in

Austin, Texas and I have to say that I am VERY impressed with the

staff, the offices are decorated and geared entirely towards the

kids, which is refreshing. The Physical Therapist that is there and

clinical therapist was fantastic and very thourough sp?

The doc bands however are EXPENSIVE so be prepared to shell out a

pretty penny if your insurance doesnt cover the band. The way we

look at it is if the child needs it, they need it.
