Jane,

I am starting to crave a donut now!! I'll have to indulge sometime

this coming week. :) Just like you, I have one side I favor much more

than the other side. I am getting inklings that I might be starting

to get a tiny bit of feeling back on my numb left side- I hope so! It

is so nice to just try and chew and eat new things.... sometimes I

get frustrated, but other times I'm really happy. I think my opening

is very slowly getting a little bit bigger... like everything else, I

should stop looking for daily improvement and look at it week to

week. The eating/chewing/talking basically is physical therapy.

(Isn't it nice to have your energy back though!?!?!) Just like you, I

got sick right after my 5 week marker. I've had this cough with

congestion I can't get rid of. Oh so much fun... hopefully it will

disappear in a few more days. Anyway, I'm glad you're doing so well

eating so much and enjoying every bite of it I'm sure! I have found

that I cant do much with rice yet... I end up swallowing it whole for

the most part! :)

This thinness thing poses a dilemna definitely... now you have to

chose at what weight you'd like to stay and then figure out how to

maintain it. I do have the seed planted in the back of my mind that I

am going to have to change my eating soon and curb the consumption of

some of the garbage I have been enjoying lately before it really does

start to catch up with me!! :) Enjoy this dilemna... most never get

to revel such a quandary! :)

I see my ortho tomorrow, so I'll let you know how that goes and what

he tells me about how much longer I have with the braces. Keep me

posted!! Katja :)
