Guest guest
Yep. We generally fit right in there with the scoliosis folks and those who have clubbed feet. (Is there a nicer way to put " clubbed feet " ? I dunno) But certainly with the cleft palate people. Hey, Our jaws don't do us right. Sad truth. Bad truth. But truth! What do we care what name is put on it? I don't. It's something that wasn't working, and now does! Best, C. As for two splints: I think maybe they make several. One to try on the models. One to try, while they're fixing your mouth. One to wire in, to hold things in place. They could have made 50 for me. And I woldn'lt have cared. I just loved cleaning the one that came out of my mouth after seven weeks of being in. I asked for it as a souvenir, and was told that my surgeon wanted it. Sigh. but at least it wasn't wired into my upper brace any more. Hallleluuuu! Guest guest
Good point. I didn't think about one splint being for the model. At first I was trying to figure out how I would get two splints in my mouth...but you're probably right. I'd also be interested in knowing how much these little burgers cost... I don't care what they call it either...It's starting to really hit home that I'm having surgery soon. They said if I don't hear from the insurance company by June 9, to give them a call. As with others on this board, many emotions are running through my mind right now. It will be nice to actually have a surgery date. I know, be careful what you wish for! Thanks for your reply.
