Carol,

Many of the veterans on this site have recommended vaseline for

chapped lips rather than lip balm. Keeps the lip nice and hydrated

and helps prevent them from cracking and hurting. I used to use

vaseline a lot when I was on accutane for my skin a few years back.

Since it was full on Vitamin A it made my skin dry out like crazy

particularly my lips. The vaseline saved my life.

As for feeling connected - ABSOLUTELY! We're all in this together. I

agree with you, I don't know what I would have done without this

message board. It really helped me deal with this whole ordeal in a

much better way.

Make sure you drink some camomile tea tonite before midnight to help

you sleep and keep your nerves calm. A drop of lavender on the pillow

case also helps to calm your nerves. And when you go in tomorrow for

the surgery just keep on repeating to yourself that everything will

be fine. You have a fine doctor taking care of you. And when you wake

up from surgery think FLYING IN THE SKY WITH YOUR LOVELY BOYFRIEND

and that we are all here thinking of you and sending you lots of

positive vibes.

Good luck Carol or as we say in Italy, in bocca al lupo which means

may the wolf not eat you!

Sara xx
