Guest guest
There are number of supplements you can find that have none of the ingredients we should avoid while on SCD. Many of them will probably be mail-order/online sources as it is often difficult to find good supplements in local stores. I use the list of legal and illegal supplement ingredients found on the pecanbread website when I’m shopping for supplements: http://www.pecanbread.com/p/Sup1.html scroll down about halfway for the list. I just looked at Beyond Bone Defense. My decision would be to find another alternative, but I don’t feel qualified to state positively that it contains illegals. I do have some concerns about some of the ingredients – on the other hand, extracts often break down some of the polysaccharide chains so can be digested. It is the quantity of multiple ingredients in Beyond Bone Defense that worries me the most; it is a lot for the body to absorb and utilize, particularly if your digestion is compromised. It is also expensive. Kim M. In addition to my gut problems I have osteoporosis. I have been using several Standard Process supplements, but they seem not to be SCD legal. The doctor who recommended the diet to me has suggested Beyond Bone Defense by Longevity Plus, but she is pretty new to SCD and doesn't really know if it is OK. I would appreciate input from anyone who has experience with this. Marcia
