Guest guest
hello everyone, I am new to this group although I had my RNY three years ago with Dr. Balliro in Tallahassee, FL. Starting weight was 255 at 5'8 " and now I am down to 120. Had a blockage two weeks after surgery that was corrected. About two years out, I noticed that if my stomach was empty, it actually hurt. I just snacked frequently. In March I started passing lots of blood and it turns out I had a bleeding ulcer. I am a moderate to heavy drinker and the GI doc who cauterized my ulcer seemed to think that the alcohol, plus the fact that I was using OTC pain relievers other than Tylenol was the cause of the ulcer. My internist is fussing at me constantly to gain weight. She wants me on nutrament three times a day and eating as much fattening food as I can tolerate. I like being at 120 but I agree that I shouldn't lose any more weight. My problem seems to be that food stays in my stomach a very long time and I often end up making myself vomit to relieve the pressure. I am very interested in any feedback from those of you who have experience anything similar. Thanks for listening.
