You are not going to believe this. My primary-care doctor and the clinic have 'parted ways' the day after I saw him last Wed. WTF!!! (sorry about the language...you should have heard me a few hrs. ago.....!) So I had to choose another primary and now have to start all over with him. I had been seeing my other doc for 20 yrs. And he was the head doc. I did find out that my blood and urine tests were fine but there's something 'like sinisitis' in my head...the nurse wasn't sure. They recommended I see my ENT and I couldn't get in for a MONTH!!! F! I have been growing increasingly sicker over the last month so I don't want to wait any longer than I have to. So we had to go to a farther away clinic with more ENT'S and I finally got another appt. for Friday. I had to send

all my ent and cat-scan stuff over there. I am so exhausted from this crap. Who knows if this is new stuff they have found or the stuff that was already in my head. I have a lot of thickening in my sinuses, etc. In the meantime...my head feels like it's in a vise. I haven't gone binge crazy or anything(I eat when I'm in pain) and my blood sugar was 116 this morning which is only a little high for me. It does help to vent and tell you what's going on. Any prayers, good thoughts , etc. would be appreciated. S. 29:11, For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. "If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself" ( 16:24 NIV)."No one whose hope is in You will ever be put to shame….Show me Yourways, O LORD, teach me Your paths; guide me in Your truth and teachme, for You are God my Savior, and My hope

is in You all day long."Psalm 25:3,4,5 NIV

Hi everyone,

The list is SOOOO quiet! Let's have a Roll Call! We have nearly 600 members now and there is no reason that this list should be quiet. There are many things to discuss, questions to ask, and etc. Let's check in and see how everyone is doing....... ..what is going on in our lives, and how we are feeling..... and etc.

Myself, I am just getting over the worst case of flu that I have ever had and my hubby has it also. We have been VERY ill. However, I think we are both going to live........ .for awhile there, I was not sure. :-) In the last two weeks, we have had two granddaughters graduate from High School too. We have been busy. I have had to reschedule my Stress Test and EKG until next week as I was just too ill to do it. It was supposed to be yesterday. My Doctors are very worried about all the swelling in my legs, ankles, and wrists.

Tracie is taking a much needed rest away from here for awhile but I am here as well as the other Moderators. If you need help or have questions, please feel free to ask and we will get you some answers. We are all sick, so please be patient. Someone WILL answer your questions.

Ok........just jump in here and give us an update on YOU!

I am done........ ......who is next???????? ??????

Hugs to all,

Hi Darlene and to all my friends out there! Haven't posted in quite a while.

Just trying to sort things out. A few of you might recall that all my hair fell

out last year. Well, it finally started to fill back in around March and was

really thick by May. Here comes June and there goes my hair again. Small spots

at first, now it appears to be thinning in many places.

Like everyone else, sarc throws me a curve ball here and there. Finally found a

doc that listened AND was willing to work with me. Got a letter in the mail

that he packed up and left to take a job on the west coast. I've been assigned

a nurse practitioner (NP) for my next visit. Nothing personal against the NP,

heck most I worked during my years in healthcare were very good, but think it's

time to start the search for another specialist...that should be fun.

Other than that, went from running 25+ miles a week with runs as long as 8

miles, to getting winded walking up the stairs. Having balance issues again

also and fell so hard on the staircase this weekend that I thought I broke my

foot. Still really sore. Did I mention having sarc stinks?

Still working but not sure what's holding me up or keeping me going. I'm wiped

out by the time I get done with work and do a few small chores around the house

(like dishes from the night before). Getting out of the rack to do it all all

today was tough even with 13 plus hours of rest yesterday. Sorry to rant on...

Hope this finds everyone well with summer just around the corner.

Peace, Tony

Tony I've been experiencing hair loss too and my scalp sometimes itches and I've never had this problem. I'm blaming everything on the sarc and oh yeah I agree having sarc stinks. Prayers going up for that foot...be careful.

Hey Toni, it's OK to rant, we all have to do from time to time, and yeshaving Sarc stinks.  I hope you get some help soon, don't wait too long to see the doc.  I know how hard it is to take

2 steps forward, then 5 back, but hang in there. Blessings, Marla

Tony, I'm sorry for all the troubles you're having. Losing a good doctor has to top the list (or close to it). I'm a certified nurse-midwife & use a NP for my gyn care, but I agree that you need a qualified MD. Unfortunately, qualified & MD don't always go hand in hand! I'd rather have a good NP for primary care while looking for a sarc specialist than a mediocre, or worse, MD. Just my humble opinion (not biased, or anything!)

Now, you left out the important stuff: how are those little, or not so little anymore, girls doing?

Ramblin' RoseModerator A merry heart is good medicine. Proverbs 17:22

"How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant of the weak and the strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these."
