Guest guest
Rosie Here's one you'll get a kick out of! After a month on Vancomycin for the MRSA my original boo boo looks great but I have developed the world's worst diaper rash ever! They told me to drink lots of water, which I'm bad about doing, but they never told me about this! I have taken antibiotics and ended up with my bladder killing me but this is a first.....At least the first in 50 something years! I'll have to tell the nurse about it Monday when she changes my bag. I got a tube of diaper rash cream but it didn't help much. Now I know how poor little babies feel. My daughters mil told me her late husbands doctor told him to use athletes foot cream for his jock/groin irritation. At that point I was ready to try anything and the package didn't say anything about not using it on open skin. It has something in it for the pain and my bottom is happy now. GEEEZ I sure have some weird side effects. LOL Join our Sock Challenge for Orphans in Kazakhstan http://groups. yahoo.com/ group/Mittens_ for_Akkol/ grannylunatic@... Subject: re: roll callTo: Neurosarcoidosis Date: Saturday, June 6, 2009, 5:11 PM Hi group, It has been quite around here the last week. I guess everyone is busy this time of year. I have been quite busy myself with appointments. I had my physical about two weeks ago and I was really discouraged by all the problems that I seemed to be facing. My protein in urine was high and and so was my blood pressure. It has been high for the last year since all of the weight gain so I have been placed on meds to control the blood pressure. I am feeling better without the headaches. It does run in my family so I had to keep it checked especially now with the steriods and weight gain. My doctor had schedule me for a glucose test but for some reason she called me back a week later and told me to cancel it. I don't know what that meant but I will ask her when I go back next week. She also said that she heard a heart murmur but none of my doctors ever said they heard that before so she is sending me to have an EKG. She also said that she heard something in my lungs and gave me a breathing treatment. I didn't notice anything with my breathing or didn't have a cough but she gave it to me anyway and prescribed an inhaler for times when I might have some breathing problems. So next week is my EKG and then I go back to see her the next day. I hope everything is alright with my heart. I know sometimes you can have sacoids in the heart but I never had a heart murmur before so I hope everything is ok. I have upped my exercise and currently walking 1 mile a day without getting out of breath on the treadmill at 3.2 speed and doing some cardio and resistance training three days a week. I really feel pretty good at the moment and I have tried to reduce my calorie and carb intake. I hope I can get this weight down without hurting anything from the increase exercise. Please pray for me as I have my EKG on Tuesday because I don't need anything else to go wrong and discourage me. Shauna in Atl.

Guest guest
, you are the one to get funky stuff! I'm sure you got a fungal rash from the antibiotic. Now you know with babies we leave those diapers off so they can get plenty of air; just be sure to put those drawers back on when you go to the store! Any antifungal cream should do the job.
