Guest guest
Hi Michele, Well, I think it's going to get better for you. It's very possible that the tears are simply a result of the anaesthesia still in your system. I was warned about this by my ortho, but it never happened to me. Of course, I also took homeopathic remedies, one of which was to help clear the anaesthesia from my system. Drinking lots of liquids helps to flush it out too, but there's no predictable timing for it, nor how it will affect you. Don't fight those tears, just let them out, and know that it's just part of a normal healing process. You've been through a lot, and your body is just speaking up about it, actually in lots of different ways, I'll bet. It doesn't last forever. I'm sorry you're having pain, though. That's not as common, but it does happen. Now if the pain is unbearable for you, or gets worse than it is, call your surgeon's office right away and tell them. They need to know. They could change the meds for you, or call you in and see what might be different that's causing the pain. Don't feel that you're bothering them unnecessarily. They're there for you. Go easy on yourself. Patience is what's required, but I know how hard it is to muster up during this part of the recovery. Try to do things that make you feel more comfortable, maybe a bubble bath, reading a favourite book or watching a favourite movie, ice cream, whatever it might be for you. Hang in there, and keep us posted on how you're doing. > Hey everyone, > > I did so well the first week and now each day I feel worst then the > day before.
