Yes, and that's one respect in which cats are different from

dogs.

Also, cats are obligate carnivores, whereas dogs are carnivores, but can

get away with playing omnivore some of the time. Cats can't. (My

husband says dogs and cats moved in with us humans because they liked our

cooking....)
