Then I ate too many banana pancakes one morning; since CD, I haven't been able to eat as much food as I want in one sitting because of a structured Ileum. I figured it was just too much food, not the banana's (which weren't new). Anyway, after that I had some okay days and some bad days, never really as good as when I went off the intro diet. So 4 days ago I went back on the intro diet and I seem to be having another die-off reaction. Achy back and shoulders, headaches, nausea vomiting, increased ileum pain. > > So, my questions is, is this sort of cycle normal? Every time someone with CD goes into a flare, then on the into diet, they have a die off? It may or may not be die off, but it can often take a while to stabilize and the path may not be as clean as it was initially. Use epsom baths to ameliorate the achiness and headaches. And feel better. Mara
Guest guest
, Hang in there. Mara has said before that the path is not linear but circular. The first few months can be up and down. I went on intro several times when things got unglued. Then they stabilized again. Stay on bland easy to digest foods for a while. Whenever I eat too much of anything, I " paid " for it. But as time goes on you will tolerate more. PJ > > > Hi everyone, > > > > I'm still new to CD (4 months) and the SCD (1 month), sorry if this is an elementary question. Guest guest
Is coconut oil also good for topical use on anal skin tags? I had one a few months ago when I flared and the flagyl I took did a pretty good job of making it go down, but it is still there a little bit. How can I get it to go away for good?I had them before and they went away on there own, but when I flared, one came back. Would very much like to get rid of it for good. __________________________________________________________________ CD SCD 5 months Lialda, Purinethol Freeda Vitamins, L. Guest guest
Thanks ! > Yes, alot of people use it in rotation with the things you listed. Oil of Oregano shouldn't be used for more than 10 days straight. I forget why.... > > I just use whatever is convenient. If I don't have much time during the day i'm not going to get my juicer dirty to make a 6 ounce glass of carrot/garlic juice. Instead I take a spoonfull of coconut oil, or i'll take a shot of oregano oil. Grapefruit seed extract didn't do anything for me, but I would take a pill when convenience and time were a factor. So, some days I was taking oil of oregano in the morning and coconut oil at night and some days it was coconut oil in the morning and carrot/garlic juice at night. You get the point. > > > As far as where to get coconut oil from... here is a link to where I order mine. > > http://www.tropicaltraditions.com/virgin_coconut_oil.htm > > All the way at the top right of the webpage there is a link > > All Weekly Sales > > Click here! > > > Coconut oil goes on sale often, so if you're interested in saving a few bucks just wait for a sale. Usually buy one get one free, or free shipping is what i've seen.
