Guest guest
I tell them that I control my Crohn's disease with diet instead of medicine. If they want more of an explanation I give it to them. I've been here for 1.5 years and most people know. We have a staff lunch and cake day once a month. I just bring my own stuff. Most people are very jealous of the foods I eat because they look and smell so yummy. I brought my daughter up here a couple months ago and 2 people made comments to her about how her mommy cooks everything and they betted that she ate really good. She said she did. They respect that I eat a " special " diet to treat myself versus using meds and after they see all the yummy foods I eat, they aren't so judgmental about the diet. At a party last week, where I was chatting with people but not eating, at least 7 people asked me " you're not eating? " How do you guys explain the diet to people? I don't particularly want to get into details about my health but I'd like to be ready with a quick and simple explanation. > Thanks! >
