Guest guest
Malcolm woke up with morning with a big red spot with a dime-sized stark-white blister in the middle of it. Looked like a Satanic fried egg! The ortho was able to see him today (thank goodness I didn't have to work) and was able to adjust his helmet and says this is normal. Is it? I don't like to think of the helmet giving him blisters! Ouch.
Guest guest
red spots are "normal" (at least they happen, from time to time in many devices, and go away when the device is modified) -- as far as I know, blisters aren't. Is it like a blister one would get on a foot from a shoe rubbing it with water inside? If it does, you might want to wait until it goes away so that it doesn't compromise the skin further and then you are out of the helmet longer until the skin heals. What kind of helmet is it? Maybe someone with that brand can chime in.mom to Quinn, born 11/99 - DOCband grad 10/00 for scaphocephalic head shape>------- Original Message ------->From : hoopridge[mailto:hoopridge@...]>Sent : 5/23/2008 2:56:07 PM>To : Plagiocephaly >Cc : >Subject : RE: BIG blister on forehead!>>Malcolm woke up with morning with a big red spot with a dime-sized stark-white blister in the middle of it.
