Glad you're still here, pal.

You're going through a rough patch right now. You're entitled to be

upset. You thought you were headed for changes, and that you'd love

every one. Apparently, you don't.

And one word of caution: I don't know your surgeon. I don't know how

he deals with criticism. But if he doesn't do well with it, don't

give up. There are other docs. I'm not suggesting that you go from

pillar to post and become a surgery junkie. But I am suggesting that

you try to separate some of the emotions, talk with your doc, and if

you don't get answers that satisfy you, ask for referrals, either

from him or from other dentists who have been working with you.

Meantime. Honest, you got a good change. You really do look grand,

(not that you didn't before, either!) and you may still be healing.

But stick with us, and with your pursuit of what you want. Just

don't expect to get it all yesterday!

(And yep, you have my permission to cry, too, -- men are equally

entitled -- if you like to invest in Kleenex more than I do!)

I think mad is natural, but I also think it's not often productive.

And I do think that the steroids and anesthesia may still be working

on your emotions -- you're about two months out of the OR, aren't

you? I do honestly and fervently believe that you'll serve your own

interests best if you can operate out of calmness, rather than

anger, and try to be rational rather than emotional about figuring

what comes next.

My thoughts and good wishes are with you. It must be frustrating as

hell!
