Guest guest
you looked ready for anything. lol I couldn't drive for 3 years. I used my scooter to get around. Now I have my license back and I still use the scooter to get around town. cost less than the car. If I am going to spend a lot of money my sweetie comes with on his bike and does any hauling I can't. Works for me. I used to do what I called "Power shopping". I would go into wal-mart and fill up a cart with all the things I thought I needed or wanted. I would take my time and enjoy myself. (didn't always use Wal-Mart) After I was done for the day I would park the cart and go home. Now this sounds naughty, maybe, but I accomplished 3 things. Are you ready???? !. I got the need to shop out of my system. 2. I saved money because I didn't spend any and had a good time doing it. 3. I kept someone in work. Hey someone had to put all the things back on the shelves. Right. Now before you curl up your nose, Remember I was a single Mom of 2. Didn't make enough to get what I wanted or needed. So try it. I became known in this area as the crazy lady. They let me alone and were really quite friendly after they discovered who was doing this and why. LOL I made some wonderful friends. OK so I am a little nuts. (and that was before sarc.) Have a wonderful day to all of you. Prayers and good thoughts coming your way. Jackie from Wisconsin.... biking gear [1 Attachment] Greg, I just remembered a picture from when I last rode a 2-wheeler. 4 years ago I totalled my car in a close encounter with a telephone pole. My neuro & I agreed that I shouldn't drive until we figured out what happened. We finally decided it was the Neurontin I was taking for neuropathy, but I couldn't drive for almost 2 months. I hated asking for rides & so I started riding my granddaughter's bike across the street to WalMart. I took tote bags to carry stuff back, along with my water bottle, my Dale Earnhardt helmet, etc. On the second or third such expedition, I fell off the bike, my son had a fit that I was even trying to ride across a busy street, yada, yada, yada. They took my wheels away. I tried a couple of other times to ride, without all the extra gear, and fell right over. Anyway, this is a photo my granddaughter took of me the last time I made the WalMart run. Did I mention it was cold (Indiana)? I'll post the photo on the NS site for those who can't open it.
