Golly, gee whiz, ! I quit counting after 15 screw-ups/weird things. First things first: rant scoring. Nice use of punctuation, fake laughter, etc. to simulate profanity. Lengthy routine, but worth every second; excellent choreography. Sorry, but mandatory one-half point deduction for wimpy finish after very assertive routine. Rant score: Content 8.5 Execution 8.5 Second issue: I think either you've had bad luck with ENT's, or I've hit the jackpot. My son has had serious ear problems since age 4. He's had 5 ENT's. 3 were wonderful (2 since he was an adult, so not just being nice to a kid); the other 2 were fine. I've had 2 ENT's; my main man (Dr. Swim; no lie!) also saw my mom in her last few weeks, and he is sweet, funny & very competent.

Third, although my specialty was obstetrics, I don't think you have sinuses in the back of your head, so I have to wonder why they thought your head pain was sinus to start with?!? Any chance you can just move to another state & start all over with the medical establishment?

Hi all, went to see my new ENT doc today. Fruitless visit. He said they sent him,basically, a brain scan...not a sinus scan. Soooo...if my doc, who parted ways with the clinic, ordered a brain scan...WHY???!!! was I sent to an ENT???!!! ...sigh...So new ENT wanted new cat-scan and to see him in another two weeks. (He'll be on vacation next week!...Ha ha...isn't that funny...NOT!) Meanwhile I am still in pain...going on a month and a half now. I can't imagine in what universe that it is allowable to allow someone to be in HEAD pain for this long. So on the way home venting to hubby, who took a whole day off(for this!?), I wondered when did I fall through the cracks and how did a brain scan turn into a ENT visit...which means a few phone calls when i got home. First...I call new doc's nurse and she was very confused...and said they saw some pockets in my sinuses and I answered Were these NEW or were they the thickening of my sinuses shown on the old scans...!? She said she's have to call me back. During this wonderful time of waiting and waiting..I now have diarreha...most likely from the excruciating headache and dizziness( and 20 minute drive there and back with full sunlight a blazin into my eyes)...which, Head Pain!!!.....by the way, is WHY I went to doc in the first place...two weeks ago. sigh... again. I get a call back from old doc's nurse. Now she is puzzled and wonders if maybe I should see an internist...I relayed the info that the last time I saw an internist they paid no attention to any of my symptoms and wanted me to have a gastric bypass. And I was very ill at that time. So nurse2, who was more puzzled than I was, asked who 'I' think I should see. Honestly...not kidding you at all. I said I want to see a neurologist. So then I had to call one after she called back with a name. BTW...the ENT was a bit of a jerk today. I have seen three or four ENT's over the years and they have all been jerks. Do they take training in this.... ? The ENT did a full exam and said nothing about finding anything and said that the pain in the back of my head is probably not sinuses. So WHY am I having another exam and recheck AND seeing a neurologist?...! ....breathe, , breathe... I mentioned to nurse2 will she be seeing good old doc and could she ask him who He would recommend me seeing. Guess policy says she can't contact him about that. SOooo i may be in the middle of a flare and I resent having to do 10 years of work all over again. , I am so sorry, and yes I do think that most ENT's are jerks, I even worked for one once.  I had the same thing happen to me, I have MRI of head, the neurologist said I needed to see and ENT for thickening of the sinus's,

and when I saw him, he said I need CT Scan didn't even look at the MRIdid a 5 sec look over, and left the room, his assistant ordered the CT Scan, and the set up an appt. for 2 weeks out, so we could be sure

he had seen the CT.  I was hopping mad by the time I got home, went alone, and said NO I am not doing this, I have had thickening for a longtime, so canceled CT and Appt with the ENT Jerk.  I do get sinus infections, but since I started rinsing my sinuses out, I haven't had as

many, I'm suppose to rinse every day, but that got irritating to me, andthe sinus cavity, however I start rinsing at the first sign of an infection, call the doc start on Antibiotics, and I'm good.  There is however one nice ENT guy, the jerk I worked for many years ago,

his Partner was the nicest guy and an ENT too, I loved working for him.BUT, my head pain is nerve pain, yes it can be really painful, I was put on Lyerica, anyway this really helped me a lot with the head pain.

I say you see a Neurologist, forget the ENT guy, When I have sinus painit's my face, and eyes that hurt.  Anyway, I'm sorry you had to go through all that, good luck and hang in there. Blessings, Marla
