Guest guest
I was told that it can happen, or that a ceramic bracket can chip. Then you can be in real trouble, if the chip goes into your lung, because an x-ray cannot detect it. In fact, I had to sign a waiver absolving my ortho and surgeon of blame and liability if that happened. It didn't, but if I'd have known to begin with, I'd have gone with the metal brackets. I found the metal more comfortable, anyhow. I haven't heard of this happening, either, but there must be a reason for those waivers... Cammie > > > > Hi again. Guest guest
I have 6 clear brackets on my top teeth only. I had the same brackets for the surgery, however, these brackets are not as sturdy as the metal ones, and 2 of mine did break during surgery, and more became unglued later on. But that's not a big deal - had to go to the ortho to get new ones couple of days ahead of schedule. Otherwise, no problem. > > Hi again.
