Katja finally posted photos!

Hi Everyone,

Finally, to the detriment of being well-rested tomorrow, I posted a

few pictures (under " Katja " ). Gosh, I am normally a very private

person..... I am embarrassed to post my pictures. Oh well....

I started out with lots of assymetry before surgery... more than is

even apparent in the before photos because you aren't seeing my

horrid malocclusion... I still have some assymetry showing in my post-

pics for two reasons.... I still have residual swelling that is

affecting the way soft tissue around my mouth " lies " and I have

swelling in my cheeks and lips. AND my nose is crooked. It would have

required a rhinoplasty to correct it which I was unwilling to have

done (I preferred to keep the " family nose " ) LOL. So, what may appear

to be an off-center chin/midline is actually on off-center NOSE!!!

Anyway, I don't claim to be amazing-looking or anything now, just

improved. I think the change to my profile was like getting my nose

done without having it touched!! It doesn't look quite so much

like a dorsal fin... and my lips aren't sticking out like a duckbill

platypus anymore!!! Can't argue with that! Anyway, at seven weeks

post-op, this ugly duckling feels a lot cuter and now I actually have

a chin to hold up! So far, I am pleased with the improvement....

Now just to get that blasted miserable bite of mine perfected!!! So,

I would be interested to hear your Honest opinions and appreciate any

feedback anyone feels like giving. For those of you who don't know

or can't remember, my surgery was March 9, 2005, and I had

upper/lower/genio.
