Didn't see it but sounds interesting. Good luck , I'm sure

you'll come through just fine, deep breaths, relax and do what the

doctor says :).

Ray, I would think you had a pschological (not psychotic, though)

problem if you were not nervous. My origianl surgery date was

supposed to be May 17th, and the whole week before, I was a basket

case. I would lose everything, and forget what I was doing. Luckily

the guys ( whom I was blaming for hiding my stuff ) realized I was a

little stressed out and joked that I was a little ditzier than

normal. I do not do stress well. When it came down to the last

minute and I was fighting for my test results, which nevr made it on

time, and I realized I had to reschedule, I lost it. I couldn't talk

to anyone and was crying. The only GOOD thing about being at work

was I could channel my energies on the patients and forget about my

problems somewhat. After that ordeal, I just was too drained to have

any anxiety left, until I was in pre-op. You will do fine. I am

drinking (a protein shake) to your health and good outcome! Janet

Ray,

First I just want to tell you that the anxiety that you're feeling

is totally normal. No I missed the " special.. " on FOX and NO, I do

not regret having this life saving surgery. If you go to the PHOTOS

link in this group then go to my folder (RAY in OMAHA)you will see a

series of three photos of me. I tell you this just because I

am " living " proof that WLS works. Questions like, Why did you do it

or What can you eat, or Aren't you always hungry, are continuouly

asked of me. I'm not quite 160 days post op, down 111 pounds (last I

checked) and will be sub-300 by the end of this month. I'm down from

a 54 pant size to a 44 and soon to a 42. Was wearing a shirt size of

4xl/5xl - 22 " neck. Now at loose 3XL and 18.5 " neck. So much more

energy, wife cannot keep up with me. The dogs love the exercise and

the kids love the fact that they can interlock their fingers with

they hug me. It is my family and my want of living a JOYFUL life

that I want. At 47, I am now beginning to live life as it was

intended, with JOY. May your surgery be uneventful and your post-op

recovery be swift and filled with happiness.
