Son's band touching up paint

So my son just got his DOC band, he's 4 months, so you will see me on here a

bunch. We are doing his band in a red sox helmet design. The base color was

great, but of course we were trying to be perfect and where the color was raised

and not even I tried redoing it by removing it with alcohol then redoing the

primer then base coat. Needless to say, it looked horrible. So we wiped that

part clean again and put the primer on more evenly. Any suggestions before we

put the base on again?

If your paint peels how do you go about fixing it up thanks!

I don't have any advice on the band but I would love to see pictures when you get it complete. My daughter, Mackenzie is scheduled to go for the DSi on the 16th and get her DOC band on the 29th. I have been planning on a "girly" Red Sox themed band. Hi! We did our son's in a Red Sox theme, too. We made it look like a batting helmet. We found the decals online. Search for Official MLB batting helmet decals" We would have loved to order a navy blue helmet, but it didn't come in that color. So, I painted it navy. I had to touch it up every 3 to 4 weeks. I also bought a few sets of the decals to have on hand, b/c the B in the front would get worn. I think in the 5 months he wore it I had to replace the decals 3 times.
