Well, I almost picked up the vioxx. I have read where some have said

that they have taken vioxx for years and no problems. My

understanding that that is one of the problems. By the time you KNOW

there is a problem, you are in serious trouble. My doc did say one

concern was that the related complications could come with absolutely

no warning.

So, I was beginning to get very, very worried and in lots and lots of

pain. Now being so newly mobile and living it - to think of not

being able to walk due to pain was upsetting, to say the least. I

could not wait for the syn-flex and the liquid glucosamine I got from

Whole foods didn't seem to be cutting it, so I perused the " joint

stuff " section at Longs and found " PharmaFlex: sodium & lactose free

fast acting glucosamine & chondroitin with Nexrutine double

strength " . 3 pills equals one serving. Each serving (3 pills) gives

you 1500mg glucosamine, 1200 mg chrondroitin, and 100 mg nexrutine.

On the nexrutine it says " patent pending plant extract from

Phellodendron amurense. I won't list all the other incredients for

now unless you guys want them. Any way, I bought it cause on the box

it says that benefits from nexrutine may take effect immediately and

benefits from the glucosamine and the chondroitin may take 2-4 weeks.

Now, I couldn't see where it said what the benefits of nexrutine were

and why I'd care, but, hey I was in pain and a desperate woman - & I

am swayed by good marketing. It also says it is safe and gentle on

the stomach. I also bought something called joint juice but I haven't

taken it yet. If something works or negatively affects me I want to

know what it is so I don't introduce more than one new thing into

this body at a time.

Everyone - IT WORKS!!!!! I have been taking 5 per day. I dose it

out with my other vitamins. I figure if I take 3 at once I won't

absorb it all so I take one at a time. Only reason I didn't take six

(I usually double up on most stuff cause we malabsorb) is cause I

would have had to add an extra pill stacker to my " stack " :o) No

pain. Yesterday I could feel a tiny twinge once or twice and today,

fine. I did couseling all day, then I went and taught that eveing,

standing and walking around the classroom (I tend to walk as I

lecture) for 4 hours. I got home by midnight and my feet and joints

felt great.

I will take the syn-flex once it gets here. I got 50 tablets of the

Pharmaflex in a box and I think it costs about $18.98. That's only

10 days work so it'll cost me about 60 bucks a month. Worth it if

this is the result. My only fear is that somebody will read this and

inform me that this stuff dissintigrates your pouch, or eats your

liver, or my blood will freeze, or some other ghastly malady. HA!

HA!. All right, you're beginning to see that I am prone to drama -

but that's what makes me so charming.

Well, I thought it was worth mentioning it. I know we are all so

different, but if it helps me, it may help someone else. There is

also another Pharmaflex glucosamine & chondroitin with another

ingredient. I think that box was blue. The one I got is in a green

box. I swear, there was so much stuff to choose from I must have

stood their reading labels for over an hour. Almost bought this

stuff that cost 99 bucks. Stated it was the only scientifically

proven glucosamine product that was proven to work. Decided I would

try it if this stuff didn't work.

Hang in there all who are struggling with this. We didn't come this

far to then not be able to walk or live in all this pain.
