The USDA Rural Housing Service recently announced the availability of funds to provide emergency services to assist low-income migrant and seasonal farm workers in areas where the Secretary of Agriculture determines that a local, state, or national emergency or disaster has occurred. $16,000,000 has been appropriated for these emergency grants and the deadline for applications is 5 p.m., EST, April 4, 2008.
