Guest guest
Good morning, everyone. Two years ago today, I began an amazing journey when I had my lap RNY. Two years ago today, I was squeezing into a size 28 and, more importantly, lacked self-confidence because of my obesity. Two years ago today, I decided I was worth it and took this HUGE step to change my life. Today, I am healthy because of the decisions I continue to make (protein supplements, vitamins, water). Today, I wear a size 10 and am a much more descriminating shopper. (Pay full price? No way! I'll wait for the sales, which are much better in the smaller sizes.) Today, I have more self-confidence and deal with people differently - - and they deal with me differently as a result. Today, I have amazing friendships I have made as a result of this surgery, people I have met on-line and at support group meetings, friendships that have gone beyond discussing what we eat to be so much more -- friendships that are lasting relationships and based upon caring about the whole person. Would I do it again today? Definitely! Was it easy? Definitely not! Is it easy now that I am in the maintenance phase? Definitely, definitely not!!! But it's all worth it.
