My dd had a Hanger - 2 actually - and I really liked out ortho. I felt like he knew his stuff AND i was really vocal and let him know that I was doing research and knew all about Plagio, etc.

I think that experience is KEY! That and Quality of the band made.

Look thru old message with the key words Hanger and the town you are in... you may find out more specifics about where you would be going.

You can get good correction with a Hanger... you just have to make sure that the ortho knows what they are doing. And that the band is RIGHT when you get it.

At this board we hear alot of wonderful stroues and few horror stories. CT is really consisitant in the manufacturing and ortho care. It can be hit and miss with other bands because they all do more thatn just bands so the orthos all have varying degrees of expertise.

Experience with Hanger

Hi everyone. I'm new to this plagiocephaly group. My baby is 4 months old and needs to have his head shape corrected. I was hoping to use Cranial Technologies, but my insurance will not cover them. They will probably cover a band from Hanger. I would love to hear about people's experiences with Hanger as I'm trying to decide if I should use Hanger or pay out of pocket for Cranial Technologies. Everyone's input would be greatly appreciated!
