I just became a member to this and have a few questions. I have been

in braces for 10 months and am not yet ready for surgery. I will be

having upper and lower and possibly genio. I have alot of problems

with my TMJ's and that is primarily the reason for the surgery. The

condiles are out of place causing joint pain and headaches, but I

also have an overbite and a recessed chin. I have had 3 opinions,

one in Arkansas, where they wanted to put the condiles back in place

in one surgery and then let me heal, before they did the orthognathic

surgery. Since moving back to Baltimore, I have seen two other

surgeons who said that orthognatic surgery typically erradicates the

joint pain by giving a more even bite. I have been reading some

posts, and some people are saying they have alot of joint pain after

the orthognathic surgery? Could someone please advise? Thanks
