The Struggle Continues

Thanks again for all your letters of support and encouragement. And for all

the suggestions. I am in a MUCH better place than I was last week when I

wrote. For one thing, I had a nice long talk with my boss and made clear to him

that the plate he had handed me was way too full. We moved things off. Major

stress relief.

I also began to take my vitamins again. I am not 100% compliant but I am

MUCH better than I had been and today I will devote some time to finding the

vitamins for the new prescription my doctor made.

I also began to eat right again. I did not diet, per se. Just returned to

the healthful way of eating I basically had been doing before.

And I began to once again exercise. A major help to me in all of this -- not

just from the physical improvement side but also from the side of having the

mental health I need to cope with the stress that comes from this new and

improved life.

I think the one thing I would like to see myself doing which I am not is to

get down to a size 8. I am a 14 now. I just would love to be that size. But

I cannot seem to get together what it takes to get there. It seems my passion

for it is not enough to do the work to get there.

I thought maybe of making a list of why I want to be a size 8. That is what

helped get me from 28W to 14!

I thought maybe of setting goals with rewards for achievements.

I'm wondering if anyone out there lost weight this far out from their surgery

(it will be 4 years post op for me in November). How did you do it?

Hugs!
