Guest guest
Hello. I thought you'd want to see the reply I received (below) when I sent an inquiry to Redmond Real Salt about the grit in the bottom of my meals. No, I don't have a snail mail letter. There was a logo on her replies, but for some reason, it didn't carry over when I forwarded this from my regular e-mail account. Thanks. ----- Forwarded Message ----From: Laurie G To: scdhelps@...Sent: Tue, February 16, 2010 4:50:57 PMSubject: Fw: Thanks - Grit at the bottom of my meals Grit at the bottom of my meals Hi, I like your salt except when I get to the end of my meals, there's grit that's like sand. What does this grit consist of? Is it something I should eat (analogous to meat) or discard (analogous to meat bones)? I know it's good to cook with bones. That's where a lot of good broth comes from, but I would not eat bones - only what comes from them. It seems like even when I cook it, it still has that grit at the bottom. The dish is so good until the grit becomes apparent. I wonder what our descendants did with this grit. I think it would make me feel better if I knew more about it. Is there any info. on your site regarding this? Please give me more info. Thanks in advance!
