Hi

Its been awhile since I've been able to post anything - I'm constantly juggling

chasing a toddler and cooking SCD foods! The best I've been able to manage is

to try to keep up with reading the list.

I've been pretty healthy for some time, but last night I had a bit of a rough

night (just very disturbed sleep, a lot of gas, and unhappy dreams) and this

morning spent some time on the toilet emptying out EVERYTHING. No pain, no B,

just D, D, D. The last of the contents were new to me: it looked like a lovely

olive green frothy cappuccino. Mmmm. Hope no one's having their breakfast

coffee while reading this.

So, a little background. I've been on SCD since I was diagnosed with colitis in

Feb 2006; I took 20mg prednisone and tapered down by July 2006. No meds since.

Minor flare at 12 months, and another at 8 months ago (this one caused by SCD

yogurt), both controlled by a return to the starter diet. I take acidophilus,

multi-B, B12, DHA/EPA, calcium, zinc, C, D, and have been taking grapefruit seed

extract for the last 2 weeks to fight off a stubbornly latched-on flu (which is

tapering nicely). All of these are legal and I have been on them for years.

I eat most things, except dairy (butter's ok) and I haven't introduced beans

yet. I'm trying to figure out what could have caused this weird D/gas, and I'm

only able to come up with the pate I made last night: duck livers, butter, olive

oil, onions, garlic, fresh rosemary, salt, pepper, white wine vinegar, apple

juice (all legal and in regular use).

My question is has anyone else experienced this foamy D? I'm thinking I might

have a reaction to liver, but I haven't come across this in anyone else's posts

before.

Any comments/suggestions appreciated!

Licia
