Guest guest
I've been on SCD since for about 9 months so far and with my most recent flare I started looking at what i've been doing. Since the past 4 months before this flare I was doing fine and then with the need to take antibiotics which killed my insides, I think I have to start over. I'm having alot of trouble identifying what foods I am reacting to right now. I think the problem is that I am weening off my medicine too quickyl, but I have no choice in that matter. So, as i'm weening off the meds i'm also trying to introduce new foods one at a time. It seems like i'm reacting to everything because i'm getting progressively worse and not better no matter what I take out or add in as far as new foods. I'm eating plain beef and plain chicken from the crock pot with pepper and salt. Sometimes I add marjoram but very little. I am also eating ripe avocado and just yesterday tried eating some well cooked beets with plain hamburger for iron. In the time I was doing good on SCD and was taking only a little but of medicine I could tolerate almond flour well, steamed carrots, juices, apple cider, raisins, and a bunch of other things. I have cut all that out because I don't want to make things worse than they already are. I'm worried about losing too much weight. I'm already at a lower weight than I was when I wrestled in high school, and I had to run around with a plastic bag around my body to lose that weight!Should I eat the foods I could tolerate before to try and gain some weight back?my biggest concerns right now are blood loss since i'm starting to get pale, and weight.Suggestions for moving forward from here? I don't have the option of increasing my meds right now because of health insurance.-UC - 1+ yearsSCD - 7 months 100% strict and 4 months restricted diet.Asacol - 5 pills a day Hotmail: Trusted email with Microsoft’s powerful SPAM protection.
