Guest guest
Well, today I had my plastic surgery consult with Dr. T. Longo in Sacramento. He is the funniest man! Considering your standing there basically buck naked, he makes you feel very comfortable and you are always laughing. Anyway, he gave me a price quote for a torso lift, breast lift/augmentation, medial thigh lift, and brachioplasty. All that for the grand total of $27,235. Woo-hoo! Yikes! I knew it was going to be that much so it wasn't a huge shock. My husband, however, thought it was only going to be about $14-15K for all that work. Yeah right! I wish. Now that I have a price, I have to prioritize. I can't decide what to do first...arms/breasts or torso lift. The thigh lift I might actually NOT have to have depending upon the results of the torso lift. He did a great job of explaining anatomy and how things heal. Basically we are a big T-bone steak...skin, fat, fascia, muscle, bone. Because the surgery is pretty much only working with skin and fat, there is very little pain. Good to know! It's not under general anesthesia ... it's conscious sedation. Who'd thunk 11 months ago, I was rolling into surgery at 294 pounds and now I'm thinking about reconstructing this body of mine? Amazing...the last year has been an amazing ride!
