Guest guest
I can find Lakewood juices more often than Just Juices in my local stores. I do occasionally get Lakewood cranberry, as it isn’t made from concentrate, and seems to be OK. I stress the word, seems. No telling for sure without getting a letter from the manufacturer. I didn’t attempt to try a commercial juice, even legal-seeming, until my 4th year on SCD, and I only use it to supplement my homemade juices, so the amounts I use of the commercial juices are very small. Juices not made from concentrate are the better option for us on SCD than juices made from concentrate. But there is still the concern that the manufacturer who bottled the juice might have added something that doesn’t have to be listed on the label, or whether the bottler purchased the ingredients for the juice from other sources so doesn’t have to list those ingredients. I treat Lakewood juices just as carefully as I would the ones considered SCD-legal. Use cautiously, especially if you’re new to SCD. Remember to dilute all juices, especially if you are symptomatic. Pay attention to your body’s signals. If healing is delayed, then pull the commercial juices you’re using and do a trial. Kim M. SCD 6 years >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I'm a little confused on the juice legalness thing. Could someone please clarify? I get that it's no concentrates except welch's grape, and no apple juice, but if I can find organic not from concentrate no other ingredients grape juice, can I have it? is lakewood stuff etc. ok? Thanks a lot guys!
