A splint is a flat piece of plastic that has the imprint of your upper

and lower teeth in it. It is put in between your teeth to hold them in

the correct position while you are wire or banded shut. It makes

eating very difficult with one of those in. You will absolutely need

zip & squeeze bags to get the tube toward the back of your mouth to put

food into to push thru the back teeth.

5 days post op, banded very tightly shut.
