Anyone start treatment when your child was a toddler? Currently adopting an 18 mon. old from China

I want to introduce myself to the group. My name is Holly and we are

currently adopting a wonderful baby from China. We requested special needs and

she has a right club foot (not sure of the correct term but pointing downward

and inward). We hope to bring her home when she is about 16-18 months old. We

are so in love with her and can't wait to hold her!

Does anyone have experience treating their child as a toddler or older

(beginning treatment)? We have emailed Dr. Ponseti and he has been wonderful.

We are definately considering going to Iowa for treatment.

Also, in all of the brace photos I see a bar between the two shoes. Is this

what our daughter will wear when she sleeps even though only one foot is

affected?
